Firm Applicants
Application for Certificate of Authorization
All applicants are required to complete the online application. If you are reapplying, please contact office@dape.org before you begin.
Application must include a copy of the firm’s current business license or a letter of exemption from the Delaware Division of Revenue to confirm compliance with Delaware tax law. The Delaware Division of Revenue will determine if you need a business license (if not, they’ll issue a letter of exemption). Email office@dape.org for the questionnaire used to make this determination, and further instructions for contacting the Division of Revenue.
Application must include a list of the officers and board members of the firm.
Delaware Professional Engineer(s) that have been designated in responsible charge of engineering activities on behalf of the firm must acknowledge the designation by signing and sealing the affidavit which is generated during the application process. Designated officers must also sign the affidavit.
Fees
Credit card payment or check must be remitted at time of submission.
Initial Application Fee: $ 200.00
Application Approval Process
Once you have submitted the application and supporting documentation, please allow 4-6 weeks for processing. Our examining committee meets the last Wednesday of each month and their recommendations must be approved by our Council the 2nd Wednesday of the following month. Once the application has been reviewed and approved, the company will receive an email letting them know it has been approved.
